How the speed figures can work for you

You Require

The daily sheets are produced in Microsoft Office Excel format.  To make the most of the filters it is advised that you use Microsoft excel, it can now be downloaded to tablet and smart phone so you can make the most of the full filter facilities on mobile devices.

Your guide to the figures

You can download a guide for every National Hunt and Flat race in the UK and Ireland. Using the course, race distance, going allowance, race type and course description will enable you to identify the horses most likely to be suited to the race conditions that prevail on that day. Cheltenham Festival Day One Once downloaded and opened you can hover your mouse over the column headings (red triangle) to see an explanation of the contents.  You should also watch our updated videos Andy’s Speed Figure Video which shows how he made his selections at Cheltenham or a Guide to the Figures by Andy Bate.  Alternatively you can take a look at National Hunt Figures Guide for more information.

The Flat times are in a similar format but with the relevant information for Flat racing such as the draw for previous races and for the race for that day so you can take advantage of any draw bias that may be applicable Flat Example Race. Availability

The spreadsheet will usually be available to download from the daily figures page within the members areas from around 5pm the evening before racing, although the times may vary during festivals.  A notification email will be sent to confirm availability.

Fabulous Friday yields Ascot joy

EQTIDAAR 12-1 and MAIN EDITION 7-1 were the headline qualifiers from the figures at Ascot on Friday as subscribers welcomed the weekend in style. Alpha Centauri 11-4 was joint second rated, while there was nearly a monster payout in the finale when 33-1 top-rated Sir Chauvelin was an unlucky runner-up. The Newmarket ratings also yielded good winners with Pour La Victoire 4-1, Danceteria 4-1, Loxley 2-1 and Flying Foxy 11-10.
