DAILY RACING PREVIEW BY ANDY HOLDING
FRIDAY APRIL 11
3.15 AYR
NED TANNER (best price 7-1) seems to be really thriving at present and with his latest victory over today’s C&D a reminder of how well he goes at the Scottish venue, Nick Alexander’s gelding can maintain his fine record with another positive result.
Just outrun in the closing stages by the useful mare El Elefante at Kelso previously, the nine-year-old was fancied in many quarters to go one place better here a month later and after travelling well throughout, he duly went on to get the job done.
Although that performance 34 days ago, and many before came on soft ground, he has managed to be equally effective on a quicker terrain and possessing a cruising speed that is always likely to carry him into the business end, the son of Milan rates an attractive each-way proposition at the morning odds.
NED TANNER – 1-point each-way@7-1

THE FOUR SIXES (best price 9-2) bounced back to form with a vengeance at Bangor last time out and a repeat of something along similar lines should be sufficient for Olly Murphy’s to take charge again for the second time in succession.
The seven-year-old has been out of sorts in the early part of the campaign, not taking well to fences being one of the contributary factors to his lifeless efforts but dropped back in trip and racing on good ground at the North Wales venue a month ago, he looked a totally revitalised character right from the outset.
Skipping along merrily in front, he never looked likely to relinquish his lead and given the way he hit the line, he appeared to have much more to offer.
Posting a smart speed figure into the bargain, the form has already been upheld by the fifth horse, Willaston (beaten 30 lengths), at Carlisle earlier this week, and hailing from a yard who show no signs of slowing down, The Four Sixes can hit the ball out of the stadium for the second time in as many runs.
THE FOUR SIXES – 1-point win@9-2

BELOW THE RADAR (NAP) (best price 4-1), by a country mile, brings the best current form into the party and providing he can run to a similar level to what he achieved at Uttoxeter a month ago, he is going to take all the beating in this concluding handicap hurdle.
Paul Nicholls’ inmate hadn’t shown much on his previous three starts during the campaign but back on a less demanding surface, he returned to something approaching the form that allowed him to rack up a hat trick as in bumpers and as a novice.
Despite running a career high on the data and the form of his run at the Midland venue being boosted in spectacular fashion by runner-up, Wellington Arch at Aintree last week, the son of Getaway has subsequently been dropped in the ratings and been presented with the chance of racing in a lower grade, a set of circumstances he hopefully doesn’t go on to let slip through his fingers.
BELOW THE RADAR – 2-point win@4-1
6.17 BALLINROBE
JOLIE JEWEL (best price 8-1) ran well in a race noted for its strong data for the grade at Cork last time out and now back among her own sex, Brian McMahon’s inmate is fancied to make her presence felt around a track where she has performed well in the past.
Keeping on well from three out at the Mallow venue, she inherited third when the luckless Jacovec Cavern fell at the last and with the final circuit sectionals indicating the race in question was by far and away the best on the card, her effort deserves plenty of praise.
A close-up fifth in a competitive affair the only time she raced over today’s C&D, she has all the credentials to better that performance on her favoured good ground.
JOLIE JEWEL – ½ point each-way@8-1
