DOUBLE RUSH (best price 5-1) clocked the sort of speed figure at Wolverhampton last time out that got plenty of tongues wagging and providing he can translate the same level of performance back on to the turf, Charlie Hills’ inmate can give a good account of himself on his handicap debut.
After promising on his opening bow at Windsor last season, his last two efforts as a juvenile had to go down as being slightly disappointing but following a long period off to mature, he made up for lost time in no uncertain terms 16 days ago, making all the running for a convincing success.
Pounding out impressive fractions throughout the six-furlong journey at the Dunstall Park venue, the son of Blue Point scored in the style of a colt who could easily take his game to another level and with an opening mark of 85 not to penal considering the numbers he produced, another attacking ride from a position towards the stands side rail can see him prove a tough nut to crack.
DOUBLE RUSH – 1- point each-way@5-1
2.40 CHELTENHAM
The great thing about siding with one of Willie Mullins’ horses at the moment is your safe in the knowledge they are going to be straining every sinew to help his handler get over the line in the British trainers’ title and O’MOORE PARK (best price 7-2) rates the most likely of the Closutton pair in this handicap chase to add to the coffers.
Despite being sent off an unconsidered 66-1 outsider in the re-vamped novices’ handicap chase at the festival a month ago, he posted by easily his best set of figures in finishing third behind subsequent Grade 1 hero, Caldwell Potter, and with the form further boosted by The Other Mozzie at Ayr last weekend, the claims of the eight-year-old are there for all to see.
O’MOORE PARK – 1-point win@7-2
4.25 CHELTENHAM
Harry Fry, by his standards, has had a pretty torrid season, but there’s a decent chance HYMAC (NAP) (best price 2-1) might provide the Dorset handler with a crumb of comfort returning to the scene of his most notable success so far to date.
Noted doing all his best work in the latter stages in the Grimthorpe at Doncaster last time out, he once again proved he requires a proper test to see him to maximum advantage and that was on top of his three previous positive efforts this term, in both victory and defeat.
When he scored here twelve months ago, he was always in control from a long way out and the way he powered up the hill suggests a return to the same venue makes him a strong candidate to turn around the form with his old rival, Moroder.
HYMAC – 2-points win@2-1

FAHRENHEIT SEVEN (best price 7-1) has to prove himself over today’s trip but he does arrive here in spanking good form and with a run under his belt, so he is worth a small interest to offset that slight question mark.
Held up towards the rear at Pontefract eight days ago, Mark Usher’s inmate muscled his way into contention approaching the final furlong and with a decent burst of speed, he lengthened away from his rivals in double-quick time to score in tidy fashion.
A big, powerful gelding by Showcasing, he still appears to be on the upgrade and having proven himself twice with plenty of give underfoot in the past, he rates a strong choice to maintain his record of never being out of the frame (in 10 starts) on his second attempt at seven-furlongs.
FAHRENHEIT SEVEN – 1/2-point each-way@7-1 (three places)
