DAILY RACING PREVIEW BY ANDY HOLDING
TUESDAY MAY 27
4.35 LEICESTER
ANTELOPE (NAP) (best price 11-4) ran out an impressive winner at Haydock four days ago and with the manner of his performance strongly suggesting he could have plenty more to offer, Richard Hannon’s inmate rates a confident choice to make his quick reappearance a successful one.
The son of Lope De Vega carried forward strong form from his previous start at Yarmouth to the Merseyside venue but even so, the way he powered clear in the closing stages of well-run affair was a little bit unexpected given his overall profile.
Clearly thriving at present, in-keeping with many from his stable, a mandatory penalty isn’t going to be enough to prevent him from going in again, it just all depends on whether he can cope with the forecast rain and be as effective over today’s track.

HARRY’S HILL (best price 4-1) shaped with plenty of promise for the rest of the season with an excellent effort on his first run for 195 days at Navan recently and with today’s race representing a slightly easier task on paper, Martin Hassett’s gelding can repeat his previous C&D success.
The seven-year-old was one of several who sat off the strong gallop at the Meath venue and those tactics proved to be correct as he, along with the eventual winner, The Highway Rat, swept by the field to pull clear of the rest inside the final furlong.
Although he couldn’t match Andrew Oliver’s inmate close home, he did more than enough to suggest he has a decent appetite for the game in his advancing years and with a sharp five-furlongs with some ease in the ground often a platform for some of his best displays in the past, the son of Heeraat looks a live candidate for top honours here this evening.
