DAILY RACING PREVIEW BY ANDY HOLDING

TUESDAY JUNE 10

7.28 SLIGO

ILBDARE (best price 7-2) has a bit to find with Our Zebo based on their previous clash at Tramore but back over a track that allowed him to run out a cosy winner of a competitive C&D handicap here last time out, the locally trained gelding can maintain his handler’s excellent overall record at the Cleveragh Road circuit.

Stepping up to three miles for the first time and fitted with a tongue-tie, the market spoke favourably of the five-year-old making a breakthrough success and although his punters had to be patient to see their investment double, he eventually stayed on best of all to lead close home.

Being the last race on the card and the ground would have been at its worst by then, it was significant that the son of Fascinating Rock was able to match the other best circuit time over a much shorter trip, and with one of his other better efforts in his short career also coming over today’s track, the only C&D winner in the field can go along way to keeping that stat in place.

ILBDARE – 1-point win@7-2

MORFEE (NAP) (best price 11-4) has done precious little wrong on his last two starts and if the data from each run turns out to be a fair guide, Seamus Mullins’ inmate is the one to be with at the morning prices.

The nine-year-old gave backers of local hero Giovanni Change an uncomfortable six minute’s watch at Market Rasen two starts ago and although he failed in his bid to go one place better at Cartmel next time, the overall speed figure he posted in defeat worked out a career high.

Placed on his two previous outings over today’s course, down in grade and a strong stayer at the trip, there are plenty of reasons to be with the son of Dylan Thomas rather than against.

MORFEE – 1-point win@11-4
