DAILY RACING PREVIEW BY ANDY HOLDING
WEDNESDAY JUNE 11
4.00 LINGFIELD
Most of the straight track races at the Surrey venue this season have been dominated by high numbers and with SINJ (NAP) (best price 5-2) bagging a position just one off the stands side rail, the decision to come here rather than tackle a similar contest on home soil at Salisbury yesterday can bare fruit.
Unfortunately, so too has main market rival Wateen, but there is little doubt Richard Hannon’s filly has the best form, and it will just a case of who wins the battle for early supremacy.
The daughter of Too Darn Hot showed bright speed to lead at Chepstow on debut, which is a positive sign as far as today is concerned, but in the end, she was engulfed by a useful filly in the shape of Angel Numbers, who went on to post a very smart speed figure.
Back at the Welsh venue last time out, she once again broke well to offer her assistance to the early pace and although she couldn’t quite justify favouritism, time may tell trying to give away valuable track position against a useful filly (Flowerhead) up against the stands side rail was an impossible task.
Indeed, the winner might well be Royal Ascot bound and with seemingly nothing of that calibre in tonight’s field, another clean getaway can prove to be the foundation for success up the golden highway.
SINJ –2-ponts win@5-2
7.40 KEMPTON
HOODIE HOO (best price 9-2) could have done with a better draw, but he does have plenty of early speed that will help overcome such an impost and a chance is taken he can bounce back to form following a modest effort on the turf last time out.
Passing the eye test and on the clock when scoring at Wolverhampton on his seasonal bow, Charlie Hills’ colt came here in a bid to follow up in what looked a decent novice event on paper and as it turned out, he was unfortunate to bump into the progressive Topwarrior, who improved immeasurably from his initial outing at the Dunstall venue previously.
However, he still ended up posting a very smart speed figure in defeat and now returning to the Sunbury circuit following a performance that didn’t really see him to best advantage (seemed unsuited by Newmarket), a more positive display should be forthcoming if hitting the lids in an orderly fashion.
HOODIE HOO – 1-point each-way@9-2
Sinj best price 15/8 AND 7/4 6/4 across the board.. I have been refreshing here since started work at 7am!How can we possibly get the price you quote Andy? I think its clear these are sent to the bookmakers before release to subscribers. Makes a mockery of the P&L
Hoodie is 3/1 across the board and biggest price 7/2. Surely cannot play 3/1 EW. This has been happening for quite some time
Hi Alan
I understand your frustration, but those were the prices available when sent. Obviously, given the recent run of form, the prices are going to go very quickly – which is out of my control – and it’s very a much a first-come, first-served basis.
As ever, thanks for the mail, and I will continue to monitor these events to see if I can come up with a better solution for all.
Regards

Thank you for the reply Andy. The email sent out is timed at 8:11am this morning for the selections and historical data on OC suggests the price was gone from 8:04am. I can understand the prices going once up but consistently they go 5-10 mins before posting! So it makes no sense when the price goes before posting unless they are passed to bookmakers first?
Hi Alan
I can assure you that we don’t send any of our selections or any of our data for that matter, to bookmakers. That would be counterproductive. We can’t say for certain, however, that any of our clients who subscribe don’t work for bookmakers and send our selections to head office. That could be a fair possibility and it might be where the source of the issue comes from but as we can not prove this point, I’m afraid the problem with the price changes might always be there.
Regards
Andy H
Again appreciate your response Andy but the price goes BEFORE selections go out daily. So it doesn’t clarify why this happens nor does it disrepute the P&L are unachievable to subscribers and thus pointless more over this perhaps confirms it. Im not ranting or anything here just reporting what i see to be an issue. Kind regards
