DAILY RACING PREVIEW BY ANDY HOLDING
WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 5
3.35 CHEPSTOW
KELIJOE (best price 6-1) has been a bit of work in progress since joining new connections, but Stuart Edmonds’ inmate showed a good deal more last time out and he is fancied to build on those foundations on handicap debut.
Never a factor on his first start of the season, his effort at Fakenham last time out was much more promising and despite him never looking like catching the front-running Squeezebox, he kept on well in the latter stages to finish a creditable runner-up.
Shaping as though he may require a stiffer test based on his effort at the Suffolk venue, today’s extra yardage should suit and with his two best performances in France coming with plenty of ease underfoot, forecast rain can also be seen as a plus.
KELIJOE – 1-point each-way@6-1 (five places)
3.50 DUNDALK
NIKKI SWANGO (NAP) (best price 4-1) created a favourable impression when scoring by an ever-increasing margin over today’s C&D last time out and, as a result, it seems a prudent exercise to keep her on side on her return to the Co Louth track.
The daughter was up a furlong having stayed on well for second over six-furlongs previously and that decision immediately struck oil.
The way she finished off her race having travelled sweetly in the first part of the race was impressive for a horse of her grade and even though the handicapper has done his level best in his bid to intervene, the adjustment might not be enough to prevent her from repeating the dose.
NIKKI SWANGO – 1-point win@4-1
