DAILY RACING PREVIEW BY ANDY HOLDING

TUESDAY JUNE 2

5.24 WOLVERHAMPTON

Kakirra was always likely to be all the rage in his bid to secure a quick hat trick, but the market has reacted accordingly, and the safest option might be to look towards MAKE IT UP from a value stance in the hope he can run to the level he achieved when third here two starts ago.

The race won by Three Socks On back in April was highlighted by a strong time figure for the grade and William Knight’s gelding, after a slow beginning, went into one or two notebooks with the way he finished off his race from the back of the field.

Nicely backed without being all the rage to improve on that effort at Kempton last time out, he ran perfectly respectably without threatening to win but now returning to a surface that is always going to suit a horse of his frame much better, the son of Make Believe can prove his mark of 46 underestimates his true capabilities.
