DAILY RACING PREVIEW BY ANDY HOLDING

WEDNESDAY JUNE 10

6.40 KEMPTON

Charlie Fellows had a nice two-year-old winner at Carlisle yesterday and in the shape of GUADALEVIN, the Newmarket handler can enjoy further success in this category.

The daughter of State Of Rest showed distinct signs of inexperience on her debut at Southwell last month but she also indicated she had her fair share of ability.

A bit keen in the early stages due to the sedate nature of the gallop, she was poorly positioned when the tempo cranked up turning for home but she came home to good effect once finally engaging top gear and such was the force she hit the line, it was easy to draw to the conclusion she would have won had she began her run earlier.

Likely to have benefitted from that initial outing in all departments, hopefully she can put her valuable knowledge to good use at the second time of asking and defeat several who bring decent reputations to the party of their debuts.

GUADALEVIN – 1-point win@3-1

8.20 LIMERICK

OUR LUCKY LADY is one of two mares arriving here off the back of a recent victory and of the pair, Paul Fahey’s inmate makes the most appeal to follow up.

The daughter of The Irish Rover had looked something of a handicap blot racing off a mark of 42 on her return to the Flat at Down Royal, fully 70lb lower than her rating over hurdles and sent off a well backed favourite to take advantage, she duly delivered the goods.

Even allowing for a shot across the bows from the assessor, time may tell she is still south of her true worth and with plenty of form on soft ground under both codes, the five-year-old mare can run amok.

OUR LUCKY LADY – 1-point win@5-2
