BEAR LEE did well to recover her poise to eventually go on to score with plenty to spare at Musselburgh last time out and providing she can hit the lids a little more alertly this time around, Michael & David Easterby’s filly has the requirements to follow up.
Drawn on the outside at the Scottish venue, the daughter of Kodi bear proceeded to jump to her right slightly as the gates opened and, as a result, she found herself detached from the main pack at halfway.
To her great credit, though, she picked up smartly inside the final two furlongs to engulf her rivals and hitting the line strongly, she scored with more in hand than the bare result suggests.
On the evidence of that display, she is going to be an even more potent force over today’s extra furlong and unless there is something lurking amongst the unraced brigade, she looks the one to beat based on the data to hand.

TATTERSALL had his pocket picked in the dying strides by the improving Gangsta Man at Hamilton last time out, but compensation awaits Micheal Dods’ gelding using the data as a solid guide.
Since the running of that five-furlong dash at the Scottish venue, the likes of Dyonisus and Reigning Profit have both gone on to boost the form/speed figure and considering the six-year-old was one of those responsible for setting such a strong pace, his performance deserves even more merit.
A horse that enjoys bowling along at the head of affairs, all his four career victories have come from when being allowed to dictate and now racing over a track that compliments runners with that run style, the son of Bungle Inthejungle has every chance of defying top weight.

NATIVE SPEAKER produced a jumping clinic when making virtually all the running in the valuable Mayo National at Ballinrobe last time out and another big pot could well be winging its way to Henry De Bromhead’s gelding if employing similar tactics.
The eight-year-old has had a chequered career but as we witnessed last time out, he can be deadly when everything is in his favour and considering there are many similarities between tonight’s track and the Mayo venue, there is no reason why he couldn’t perform to the same level.
A no point did he ever look in trouble 46 days ago and the speed figure he posted in spreadeagling a quality field back up the visual impression of his display.
A lover of proper fast ground, hopefully the course executives haven’t been too aggressive with their watering policy and this previous course winner over hurdles can add to his tally with another all-the-way success.
