Donald McCain appears to have his team in good shape at present, Zamoud and Roarin’ Success both recent winners to back up that view, and EARNEST BELIEF has reasonable prospects of adding his name to the list in this maiden hurdle based on the pick of his form.
A fairly limited maiden on the Flat, the son of Mastercraftsman is still awaiting to taste his first success over hurdles after four attempts but he has finished in the money each time and a couple of his speed figures in defeat has suggested it is only a matter of time before the ball bounces his side of the court.
The four-year-old looked like winning over today’s C&D last time out when jumping the last in front, but he eventually succumbed to a couple with superior gears on the long run to the line and he had to settle for a minor role.
Even so, it was a decent effort in the context of today’s similar race, and the valuable experience of the track he gained should enable him to hit the frame at the very least.

Not a bad race of its type for the time of year and MEDIA MOGUL has what it takes to continue his progress and add to his previous C&D success.
A dual winner on the Flat over middle distances for Ed Walker, the son of Advertise shaped with a reasonable amount of promise for new connections on his first two starts over hurdles but following wind surgery, he took his game to another level with convincing display on his second attempt over the brush hurdles.
Although in the slightly slower division of the two maiden hurdles (by two seconds), his backend sectionals pointed towards him trapping along at a fair old rate of knots where it mattered most and hailing from a handler that has expertly tutored Hot Fuzz to the top table of high-class handicaps, Tom Dascombe’s gelding has conditions in his favour to take advantage of his opening mark in this discipline.
