DAILY RACING PREVIEW BY ANDY HOLDING
FRIDAY OCTOBER 16

Not that many in this nursery have proven form on heavy ground so the percentage call is to side with CRAZY CUBANA, who arrives here with a resounding victory under his belt when encountering similar conditions at Chester a month ago.
Ed Walker’s filly worked herself into a reasonable early positioned from a wide draw on the Roodee but it was a manoeuvre that, in theory, should have had a detrimental effect on her end output, so the fact she managed to overcome such an impost is testimony to her attitude and ability.
Moreover, her speed figure in victory was also a salute to her performance levels and a repeat of something similar makes her one of the leading contenders based on the data.

QUATRE BRAS didn’t quite see out the 1m4f journey on his latest encounter here a week ago, but it was still a brave attempt in defeat and now dropping back to his optimum trip, C&D win number four could be winging its way in the direction of Richard O’Brien’s inmate.
The five-year-old has had five attempts at the 1m4f and has yet to be successful but even so, his speed figure in pushing the well-backed Fixation all the way to the line was right up there with the best of his career.
Better judged on his winning display the time before over tonight’s C&D, the son of Sea The Stars let his trademark turn of foot do all the talking and providing he can work himself into a challenging position turning for home, his superior acceleration can prove to be the difference maker.
