DAILY RACING PREVIEW BY ANDY HOLDING
WEDNESDAY APRIL 8
4.25 GOWRAN
ELECTRIC BEAUTY arrives here in a rich vein of form and although her latest exploits resulted in defeat, the data suggest she is very likely to regain the winning theme under ideal conditions.
A 20-1 shock winner of a competitive handicap at The Curragh on her return to the grass, Michael Mulvany’s filly was much stronger in the betting on her return visit to the Kildare venue a week later and this time she had to play second fiddle to Perry Mason, who had previously run well in the Irish Lincoln.
Setting strong fractions from the outset, she only just succumbed to her main market rival late on and with the pair well clear, the form looks solid.
To back up that view, the speed figure was very good for the grade and with the winner going on to well run again in a better race back over the same C&D last weekend, there is every chance the daughter of Mastercraftsman can follow suit with another attacking ride.
ELECTRIC BEAUTY – 1-point win@4-1

Time may tell RASTNET faced an impossible task up against progressive Alther Walden at Newcastle last time out and now back among her own sex in much more tranquil waters, John Butler’s filly can take this contest by the scruff of the neck.
The four-year-old has yet to put in a bad shift in her short career and there was no shame in chasing home George Scott’s inmate at the Gosforth Park venue, who will surely go onto much better things during the season.
Like her performance when filling out the same spot behind Nolton Cross at Wolverhampton previously, her speed figure was very good in defeat and both performances confirmed that she stays 1m4f well.
Having sat on her twice now, Billy Loughnane knows her well and the budding champion looks set to have another tussle with nemesis Oisin Murphy, who rides favourite Club Class in what should turn out to be a good match between the pair.
RASTNET – 1-point win@9-4
Just a heads up for Aintree. Selections will be posted the evening before – around 5.30 – on all three days.
