TOO DARN GOOD posted the sort of speed figure over today’s C&D last time out that made this writer stand up and take notice and it makes sense to side with Henry Candy’s three-year-old as he bids to repeat the dose on his return visit.
Not the most consistent prior to gaining his first victory on his 11th start at the Berkshire venue, the son of Too Darn Hot set off with an intent to put the record straight three weeks ago and once in front, he was clearly in no mood to surrender his advantage.
Keeping on stoically all the way to the line to fend off a series of challengers, one would imagine he will be given license to try and keep matters as simple as possible once again, and providing he can get to the front early, his morning odds around the 5-1 are going trade significantly shorter in the run.

STYLE KING tried his level best to row against the tide at Lingfield last time out to no avail, but now returning to a C&D that allowed to express his talents on his previous outing, Chris Dwyer’s inmate can rebound back in the right direction.
Stall 10 was always likely to prove a tricky obstacle to overcome at the Surrey venue and despite putting up a brave bid to do so, the petrol he burnt up in the early stages ultimately came back to bite him in the backside inside the final furlong.
Soon into his stride and clear of his rivals at the Dunstall Park circuit a month earlier, the Dandy Man gelding never looked like relinquishing his lead and in the hope he can jump and run again from a more favourable draw on this occasion (stall 5), he receives a reasonably confident vote to fend off all comers.
