DAILY RACING PREVIEW BY ANDY HOLDING
WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 7
1.50 SEDGEFIELD
It is roughly a five-hour drive from Glamorgan to Durham so with that in mind, connections of ARMS PARK will be hoping it isn’t a wasted journey as far as their charge is concerned and he deserves to be played accordingly.
Cath Williams’ gelding made a pleasing start to his career when runner-up in a bumper at Plumpton and although he finished one place worse off at Taunton next time, the speed figure of the race suggested he improved significantly on his opening gambit.
True to form, he managed to back up the impression he created both visually and, on the data, when making all the running back over the same C&D when last seen and providing he is fit enough to do himself full justice on his first outing for 197 days, he has enough ability to make a winning start over hurdles.
ARMS PARK – 1-point win@10-3
